Master, Maestro and Musician Philharmonie

Master, Maestro and Musician Philharmonie

Pianist, conductor and teacher, Sir András Schiff is an all-round artist whose multiple facets never cease to surprise. This June at the Philharmonie, he will reveal them all in a trio of concerts that promises to be stunning.

An undisputed master of his metier, the pianist Sir András Schiff feels a responsibility to pass his knowledge on to the younger generation. On 12.06, he will leave the stage to three of his students from the "Building Bridges" mentorship programme. Launched in 2014, this initiative is a response to the fact that talent alone is not enough to make a career as a musician take off in our day and age. Through “Building Bridges”, Schiff enables up-and-coming musicians from all over the world to gain performance experience and develop their network. "I ask all music lovers to listen with open hearts and open ears, and I wish everyone involved much joy in discovering these young talents." he says. Will you take up this enthusiastic invitation?
