This Tuesday 18 November, a major Cloudflare outage rendered a large number of sites inaccessible from midday. Internet users attempting to access Paperjam (as well as other online services) were greeted with an "Internal server error - Error code 500" message.

According to information published on cloudflarestatus.com, the incident was reported at 11:48 UTC (12:48pm in Luxembourg). At the time, Cloudflare reported "widespread 500 errors" as well as a malfunction in its dashboard and API, affecting a large proportion of its customers.
According to the W3Techs website, Cloudflare is used by around 20.4% of all websites surveyed. The proportion rises sharply among the most popular platforms: in the top 10,000 most popular sites, almost 32.8% rely on the provider's infrastructure, according to another study.
Paperjam was affected for three to four hours, temporarily making our website inaccessible. Services have now been restored and should operate normally. We apologise to our readers for this inconvenience.
