Rumours had been circulating since the summer, but now--on 2 October--Radio 100,7 obtained confirmation from the main party concerned: the director of the Société nationale de crédit et d'investissement (SNCI), Marc Niederkorn, has been dismissed after having taken up his post just one year ago in September 2022.
The former consultant replaced Emmanuel Baumann at the time. Vincent Thurmes, first government adviser at the finance ministry, simultaneously became chair in place of Patrick Nickels.
“A public selection process to identify a new director will be launched very shortly. One of their main tasks will be to develop new instruments to support Luxembourg companies, particularly in their green and digital transition projects,” says the SNCI.
