Mackenzie Investments announced on 27 May 2026 has partnered with Luxembourg-based Waystone to launch a Ucits version of its Quantitative Emerging Markets Large Cap strategy, expanding its presence across Europe and the UK.
Structured in Luxembourg under the Ucits framework, the fund gives institutional and professional investors access to large- and mid-cap equities across 24 emerging markets and selected frontier economies. The strategy is managed by Mackenzie’s Global Quantitative Equity team and combines data-driven analysis with human oversight.
According to Simon Bedard, head of Emea Institutional at Mackenzie Investments, the launch reflects the Canadian asset manager’s ambition to strengthen its footprint in Europe and broaden access to its quantitative investment capabilities.
For Waystone, the partnership highlights increasing demand from institutional managers seeking efficient access to European investors through regulated Ucits structures. Denis Harty, country head – Continental Europe at Waystone, said the launch demonstrates the value of the firm’s Luxembourg Ucits hosting platform.
The fund is now available in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, with availability for Channel Islands investors planned.
