Luxembourg fintech Investre has secured a €2.4m capital increase to accelerate the rollout of its fund tokenisation infrastructure, as demand shifts from pilot projects to production across Europe's investment fund industry.

Luxembourg fintech Investre has completed a €2.4m capital increase to finance the next stage of its growth, as Europe's investment fund industry increasingly embraces tokenisation beyond proof-of-concept projects. The round was backed by the company's existing shareholders and welcomes Kneip Management SA as a new shareholder.

Authorised by the CSSF as a Control Agent under Luxembourg's Blockchain IV Law, Investre develops infrastructure enabling investment funds to be issued, settled and serviced natively on distributed ledger technology. From Luxembourg, the company serves asset managers and fund industry participants across Europe.

Building the infrastructure

The company says the fundraising reflects a change in market dynamics. While much of the industry's attention in recent years focused on testing tokenised funds through pilot projects, fund managers, service providers and distributors are now looking to deploy the technology in day-to-day operations.

The new capital will be used to develop fully on-chain settlement for investment operations and to roll out MiFID-compliant wallet infrastructure across the European Union for both institutional and retail investors. Investre also plans to expand its technology and operations teams, deepen integrations with fund industry partners and accelerate the onboarding of new issuers to its platform.

Scaling across Europe

For Georges BockGeorges Bock, CEO and co-founder of Investre, the conversation around tokenisation has fundamentally changed. "Two years ago we spent our time explaining what tokenisation is. Today the question we hear is how fast we can deliver it. This capital increase lets us answer that at scale, across Europe."

He added that Kneip Management's decision to join the shareholder base demonstrates growing confidence from established players in the investment fund industry. "The people who know the fund industry best are backing where it goes next," he said.

The fundraising illustrates a broader trend in Luxembourg's financial centre. As tokenisation matures, the focus is shifting from pilot projects to the operational infrastructure needed to support investment funds at scale. For companies such as Investre, the next phase of growth will depend on delivering that infrastructure across the market.
