The City Concorde shopping centre is home to a new restaurant concept perfectly in tune with its lifestyle focus: I am Wow combines dining and indoor games for the whole family.

To discover I am Wow, the new space at City Concorde, you have to go to level -1 of the shopping centre in Bertrange. There, 1,400m2 have just been completely refurbished to house I am Wow, a space that combines a restaurant and several indoor games, including seven bowling lanes, two pétanque courts, two billiards tables, a shuffleboard and foosball.

At the helm of this new establishment is a regular: Vincenzo Centrone, CEO of the Multitaste group, which already operates the Mio & Mio (Italian cuisine), Parbleu! (French and Luxembourg cuisine) and Tzukii (sushi) restaurants in the shopping centre.

“Almost 12 years after opening my first Mio & Mio restaurant at City Concorde, I’m delighted to be able to embark on this new I am Wow adventure. This new establishment is fully in line with our desire to make City Concorde a lifestyle centre,” says Centrone.

Fusion cuisine and bowls

The idea was born two years ago, and after thirteen months of work, I am Wow is ready to welcome customers. On the restaurant side, the menu features fusion and international cuisine combining American (meat, burgers), Italian (pasta, pizzas), Spanish (paella), Portuguese (chicken with piri piri sauce) and Japanese dishes (sushi). The 140 seats are complemented by a bar, whose drinks are a perfect accompaniment to the dishes to be shared: charcuterie and cheese boards, spicy chicken wings, fried calamari, peppers with cheddar... There are also some signature dishes, such as the paella with lobster and langoustines or the Gold Burger, which combines beef, lobster, cheddar and truffle mayonnaise. The rest of the menu is more classic: burgers, salads, pinsas, pasta... For desserts, there are surefire favourites like chocolate cake, crème brûlée, tarte au flan...

But the place’s greatest asset is its leisure facilities, including seven brand new bowling lanes. Far from the sombre atmosphere of some establishments, here, colour and light are the order of the day. “We also have two approved petanque lanes,” explains shopping centre manager . This means that clubs can organise tournaments on these courts if they wish.

The whole family will be able to enjoy the place, with its two beautiful pool tables and shuffleboard, where the principle is to score points by sliding a palate as far as possible down a lane without dropping it in the side channels. Not forgetting the traditional kicker.

“On weekends, we’ve also scheduled DJ sets until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays,” adds Centrone. “We can also privatise certain areas, enabling us to organise corporate events or even birthdays. All this while taking advantage of the shopping centre’s 2,400 parking spaces.”

“I am Wow is an undeniable new asset for City Concorde,” says Lecante, who has no intention of stopping there to position his shopping centre in the lifestyle and leisure sector, since he is planning a new “fun and educational” project for children in the first half of 2025.
