Issue 267 of Paperjam, on sale from Wednesday 29 April, dedicates its cover story to Gen Z – young people aged 15 to 30 who make up nearly 20% of the population. How do they view entrepreneurship and work? How do they consume? What is THEIR definition of commitment? To take an interest in these questions, in this generation, is to take an interest in the future, in what will change tomorrow.

There is no shortage of stereotypes when it comes to Generation Z. But in reality, the picture is far more nuanced. In this latest issue of Paperjam, we surveyed a panel of 50 young people on four key themes (entrepreneurship, work, consumption and social engagement), and it quickly became clear that there is no one-size-fits-all answer.

To begin this feature, Louis LoschetterLouis Loschetter, co-founder of Ultraschall Collective and Skandal Agency, speaks candidly about his generation.

When it comes to entrepreneurship, their stories reveal a generation that is highly adept at weighing up risks and costs. In this issue, our Gen Z journalists, Rebeca Suay and Louise Braibant, shine a spotlight on ten new faces of entrepreneurship.

To discuss work, we organised a round-table discussion to give them a chance to speak about their aspirations. When it comes to consumption and social engagement, the responses are, once again, nuanced.

In terms of interviews, at the start of the magazine, you’ll find Emanuele Vignoli from HSBC, who outlines his ambitions for the bank, and Laurent Gardinier, president of Relais & Châteaux, who takes us behind the scenes at these establishments, where service and the guest experience are meticulously planned down to the smallest detail.

In the Time Off section, the Foodzilla column spotlights Lola Valerius, who is celebrating five years as a chocolatier. In Table Talk, Sophie Lacour shares her favourite spots.

In the Style section, Mathieu Rosan shares his most stylish outfits for five different occasions, whilst Axa’s CEO, Octavie Dexant, gives us a glimpse inside her office.
