What started off as a company created to help gaming companies deliver seamless, low-latency experiences has today become one covering “almost every country worldwide” with its world-class AI software and infrastructure, enabling organisations to create sovereign AI solutions and reduce time-to-market for AI factories and high-performance deployments.
As Reitenbach shares, Gcore finished 2025 with around €120 million in revenue, and additional points of presence and hires are in the pipeline.
Long a champion of AI, it’s definitely a game changer and will address every aspect of our life.
AI infrastructure and AI factory software
Gcore invested in AI early, starting to build GPU clouds in 2021. This was well before the arrival of ChatGPT, when AI became more mainstream among the general public. The Luxembourg-based company also launched a partnership with LuxConnect in October 2023 for its Generative AI Cluster, described as one of the largest of its kind in Europe.
Gcore has a strong historical partnership with AI leader NVIDIA, which today powers Gcore’s AI cloud infrastructure. “When we started partnering with NVIDIA, we already knew how to build large clusters and global GPU infrastructure because it’s quite similar to what we did in the past,” Reitenbach adds.
Gcore’s solutions are trusted by a wide range of enterprises in various industries, including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, gaming, media, telecommunications, and the public sector. “Our partners are usually global players, like NVIDIA, Equinix, HP, Dell, and we have customers like Orange and national telecom companies that are using our software and support to address their markets and customers and then upsell to their customers.” Fast-growing AI startups—like Aleph Alpha, Higgsfield, and Leonardo AI—are also becoming a significant driver of Gcore’s customer growth.
The company’s AI infrastructure and services provide customers full control over their data, all the while allowing customers to have a secure option to innovate with a European sovereign alternative to hyperscalers.
Safe, reliable infrastructure and services
Gcore manages both large clusters and smaller ones for inference, and cybersecurity is always built from the ground up. The company’s own background, originally focused on gaming companies, provided early insights in this area as well. “The entertainment industry was always under cyberthreats,” Reitenbach explains. “Especially through AI, IoT adoption, everything is now internet connected.”
The CEO adds that Gcore’s unique selling proposition includes three points in particular: engineering excellence; a robust software stack and a low-latency infrastructure with the best peer network out of Europe.” The company counts over 14,000 peering partners.
Gcore has also built software for AI factories, but “you need a software glue for the user experience to make it useful, easy to understand.” That’s why it’s working with Nvidia, for instance, “to help all those AI factories and telcos with time-to-market through our software.”
The company has already managed projects like cloudifying more than 20,000 GPUs in just two months. “Our goal is to give teams the speed, reliability, and control they need to turn their AI initiatives into real, measurable outcomes.”
A global company with Luxembourg roots
With its extensive partner ecosystem, Gcore operates as a truly global company. When engaging with prospective customers, Reitenbach notes that some are surprised to learn that Gcore is headquartered in Luxembourg. No matter where he travels, he feels a sense of pride: “Gcore is a Luxembourg company selling services, in every corner of the world, and we’re carrying the Luxembourgish flag, demonstrating that world-class innovation can come from this country.”
Gcore currently counts around 550 employees worldwide, over 70% of which are tech professionals. The company has received widespread industry recognition from leading independent analyst firms, such as SemiAnalysis, Frost & Sullivan, IDC, and GigaOm.
