Emilie Allaert has been named a Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) ambassador for 2025, representing Luxembourg.

on 21 January announced on her Linkedin profile that she had been named a Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) ambassador for 2025. This appointment places Allaert among a group of global innovators and leaders across technology, governance, finance, academia, and civil society, all united in advancing distributed ledger technology (DLT) and blockchain solutions worldwide.

“It’s an honor to join this incredible network,” said Allaert. “This role is not just about personal achievement; it reflects the strides we’re making in Luxembourg to innovate and scale on the global stage.” Committed to fostering growth and adoption, Allaert views this ambassadorship as a platform to amplify Luxembourg’s impact in the blockchain community while collaborating with the GBBC to drive progress and positive change.

Allaert is currently Head of the Luxembourg Blockchain Lab, where she focuses on fostering blockchain innovation and collaboration within Luxembourg’s ecosystem. Prior to this, she served as the head of operations and projects at the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (Lhoft) from April 2017 to December 2021, where she played a pivotal role in driving fintech initiatives.
