Deutsche Bank Private Bank has appointed Rikke Strömqvist as Director and Senior Relationship Manager, reinforcing its expansion plans in the Nordic countries and placing Luxembourg at the centre of its push to serve Danish wealth clients.
In her new role, Strömqvist will focus on Danish clients living in Denmark and abroad. She will be based in Luxembourg and report to Steen Krage, according to Deutsche Bank Private Bank.
The appointment gives Deutsche Bank Private Bank a senior hire with more than 20 years of experience in international wealth management, at a time when cross-border advice, structuring and investment services remain central to the needs of high-net-worth families.
Luxembourg as a Nordic wealth hub
The decision to base Strömqvist in Luxembourg underlines the Grand Duchy’s role as a platform for international private banking. For Nordic clients with assets, family interests or residency links across several jurisdictions, Luxembourg remains a practical base for relationship management, wealth planning and investment structuring.
Strömqvist joins Deutsche Bank Private Bank from UBS Wealth Management in Luxembourg, where she held senior leadership roles including Desk Head and Executive Director. Most recently, she led teams covering ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth clients across Europe, with a particular focus on the Danish and UK markets.
Her background includes advising Danish and international high-net-worth families on cross-border wealth planning, investments and structuring. Over her career, she has built and managed significant client portfolios, driven sustained asset growth and played a role in client acquisition and strategic relationship management. Before UBS, Strömqvist held senior roles at Nordea Bank in Luxembourg.
