The “Kids Love Fashion” event on Saturday 17 March was given a professional veneer as the youngsters were coached on how to move on the catwalk by their dance teacher.

“The main message of the fashion show is to congratulate beloved mothers on International Women's Day. Children perform touching poems and songs, mostly dedicated to mums, as well as some dances,” a statement from the Kalinka Russian school read.

The entire show was a demonstration of the art and creativity of the school faculty and students with teachers sporting T-shirts that were hand-painted by the fine arts teacher and students displaying their art work at the entrance.

Among the guests in attendance were Viktor Sorokin, ambassador of the Russian Federation to Luxembourg, Guy de Muyser, honorary marshal of the Court of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg and honorary ambassador, and Xavier Bettel's mother, Aniela Bettel.
