Some 28 years after it was first launched, the Luxembourg City Tourist Office’s Rock um Knuedler festival has expanded beyond the square after which it is named. Performances now take place on the Holy Ghost Stage on the rue du St. Esprit as well as at the protestant church on rue de la Congrégation.

Here is Delano’s suggested itinerary to catch the best local artists on show at the festival:

At 5.45 pm head to the protestant church for fey folk’s rising star C’est Karma.

Stay on at the church to hear the wonderful voice of Irina at 7 pm.

Then head to the Knuedler’s Lion Stage for some excellent blues courtesy of the Kid Colling Cartel at 7.45 pm.

At 8.30 pm make your way back to the church for an acoustic session by Rome, Jérôme Reuter’s acclaimed experimental neofolk project.

Catch Joël Heyard’s soul-influenced modern electro/pop sound on the Lion Stage at 9 pm.

By 9.45 pm make sure you are at the Holy Ghost Stage to see the unmissable and totally danceable math-rock kings, Mutiny on the Bounty.

If you like your Brit-rock then maybe get over to the Lion Stage one last time for a blast of Mad Fox at 10.30 pm.

But make sure you are back at the Holy Ghost Stage in time to rock out with Porn Queen for the climax of the festival at 11 pm.
