Arnaud Julien has named managing partner of Ashurst’s Luxembourg office, bringing a wealth of experience to his new role after joining the law firm’s investment funds practice in 2021, according to a press statement on Monday 13 May 2024. With a focus on advising both domestic and international clients, including fund managers, credit institutions, investors and service providers, Julien has established himself as a trusted advisor in the field of alternative investment funds, Ucits funds, asset managers and corporate entities.
In response to his appointment, Julien expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm, stating in the announcement: “I am honoured to be appointed as office managing partner, and I am looking forward to further developing and expanding our office together with the other Luxembourg partners.”
Julien’s appointment comes at a time of significant growth for Ashurst’s Luxembourg office. The firm has experienced strong momentum in recent years, marked by strategic hires and promotions across key areas of focus, recalled Julien. Noteworthy additions to the team include Alexandra Clouté in the tax team and Jean-Philippe Smeets in the corporate team, along with the elevation of Katia Fettes to partnership status. These strategic investments, combined with the contributions of partners Isabelle Lentz, Antonios Nezeritis and Fabien Debroise, have further solidified Ashurst’s position in the market and expanded its service offerings in the grand duchy, stated Ashurst.
Acknowledging the contributions of his predecessor, Julien also thanked Nezeritis for his dedication and leadership. “On behalf of the Luxembourg office, I would like to thank Antonios for his service over the last few years,” Julien stated.
