Allianz Global Investors has announced the launch of its first European long-term investment fund (Eltif), its first private markets solution for retail clients. The minimum investment amount is €10,000.

AllianzGI’s new European long-term investment fund--Allianz Global Infrastructure Eltif--will invest in global infrastructure equity and debt, said a press release from the firm issued on 4 September 2024.

“As one of the largest infrastructure investors in the world that has been investing for over 15 years infrastructure we are very proud of our first infrastructure Eltif,” commented Amine Benghabrit, head of France and Benelux. “In addition, clients can contribute to the further development of modern infrastructure worldwide and help drive the energy transition with this fund that aims to disclose under article 8 SFDR.”

The fund aims to give investors access to trends like decarbonisation and digitisation through a diversified portfolio of direct and indirect investments, and will target sectors such as energy, transport, communications, healthcare and the environment. Potential assets, noted the communiqué, include projects like wind farms, green hydrogen plants, data centres, water management or trains.
