Antwort Capital announced on 8 February that Alejandro Sabariego is now its chief compliance officer. He will initially focus on obtaining AIFM authorisation as an alternative investment fund manager.

Alejandro Sabariego has spent the past 10 years in Luxembourg working in portfolio management, compliance and anti-money laundering/countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) in the fund management industry.

At Antwort Capital, he will also set up and develop the company’s internal control mechanisms and will become the responsable du contrôle before Luxembourg’s AML/CFT authorities.

Before Antowrt, Sabariego was the responsable du contrôle of a regulated alternative investment fund manager in Luxembourg and is experienced in regulation, control and risk mitigation strategies and governance. He has previously worked for Banco Popular and the International Center for Infrastructure Solutions in Madrid, as well as at Andbank Asset Management and A&G Luxembourg.
