In a press release dated 30 April 2024, the law firm Linklaters announced a dozen promotions to take effect on 1 May 2024.
Catherine Kremer has been promoted to partner in the firm’s corporate M&A department. Since joining the firm in 2012, the lawyer has, says the press release, developed significant expertise by advising international investors, private equity firms and financial sponsors. Her practice covers a range of specialist transactions including M&A, co-investments and joint ventures. During her tenure in the firm, Kremer has also participated in initiatives such as the Women’s Leadership Programme.
Victor Louvet has been appointed counsel for the investment funds practice. With several years’ experience in the financial sector and specialising in the structuring of investment funds, Louvet’s main areas of work are in infrastructure funds, private equity and ESG impact investment funds.
Next, Tiago Ventura Mendes has become a senior managing associate in the firm’s capital markets and banking department. Part of Linklaters since 2015, Mendes’s specialisation is in financing transactions, including real estate and fund finance. He has additional knowledge in debt issuance and securitisation as well as regulatory matters, where he advises on prospectus, transparency and market abuse issues, and distributed ledger technologies (DLT).
Linklaters has also promoted five associates in the corporate M&A department to the level of managing associate: Alyssia Mechalikh, Amélie d’Aspremont, Anna Romanova, Colas Surot and Anne Mauske.
In the investment funds department, three associates have been promoted to the same rank: Alexandre David, Piotr Teklak and Natalie Lapham.
Gonçalo Sampaio, who has advised on regulatory and capital matters since joining Linklaters in 2022, has also been promoted to managing associate in the capital markets and banking department.
