Check out the works on display at this year’s Art2Cure art exhibition. Works from 16 Luxembourg painters, sculptors, photographers and mixed media artists will be on display. Among the newcomers are Poland-born Katarzyna Kot-Bach, a member of the art cooperative Sixthfloor, who is known for her wood and bronze sculptures, Pit Molling, who has stunned with his recent 3D-printed sculptures and digital drawings, and Samuel Levy, a mixed-media artist, whose sculptures, drawings and paintings oscillate between the organic and natural worlds. In addition to providing a platform for Luxembourg-based artists, the aim of the Art2Cure association is to raise money for biomedical research and charities linked to the topics of mobility, in line with BIL’s current event-series entitled “IM-MOBILITY”.

This line-up of digital talks will share the latest research and developments in Parkinson’s treatment in Luxembourg. Organised by the NCER-PD teams and ParkinsonNet Luxembourg, the event replaces the NCER-PD’s annual thank you party.

Among the speakers will be Professors  Rejko Krüger, Michel Mittelbronn, Jochen Klucken and Lukas Pavelka. The free event is aimed at anyone with an interest in Parkinson’s disease.

Luxembourg will host this year’s conference on International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion in Europe (IMISCOE). IMISCOE is Europe's largest interdisciplinary research network in these fields and 1,500 persons are already registered for the online event. The 3-day programme, dubbed “Crossing borders, connecting cultures: 18th IMISCOE conference”, includes panels, workshops and presentations, but also yoga sessions, full streaming of a theatre play and an interactive desktop learning tool.

Hear Indie Folk

Luxembourg singer/songwriter performs live as part of the Festival de Wiltz. The DIY artist performs contemporary folk with loop-oriented electronics. He has performed at the Reeperbahn Festival, Waves Vienna and The Great Escape. In May 2021, he released the EP “Deadly Sadly Whatever”.

Head to the beach for the LGBTQ+ event of the year—the Luxembourg Pride Show. Highlights this year include performances from DJ Pippa, Mr Bear Luxembourg 2021 Paul Feitler and Daniel Schumacher. While the live show has sold out, the event will be live-streamed. Viewers can watch it at the Café DaMa in Differdange or at the Escher Kafé in Esch-sur-Alzette.

Take a hike in the Luxembourg countryside and discover some local cuisine at the "Hiking meets local food" event.

Hikers will be accompanied by a local guide to build up an appetite for a 3-course meal at one of the town’s local restaurants. The event is organised in partnership with the Our Natural Park and the ORT Eislek. Participation costs €30 per person for children aged 9 and over, €16 for under 9s. Drinks are not included.

Take a jump into the Moselle to show your commitment to river water quality at this event organised by conservation not for profit naturemwelt.

The Europe-wide Big jump awareness-raising campaign first began in 2005 with the goal of reaching “good ecological status” for all European bodies of water. While, Europe still has some way to go, activists want to put pressure on decision makers.

The latest Design Friends talks assess industrial design and emotional connections with objects

Luxembourg born product designer Christophe de la Fontaine founded his Milan based office in 2010 and is also co-founder of  together with his partner and contemporary artist Aylin Langreuter. In November 2018, they were both appointed professors of industrial design at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart. A portfolio of his designs can be found . The lecture will take place in the form of two sessions with seats limited to 31 people. Early registration is advised.

Register for Kizomba

Move to the rhythm of Kizomba in the upcoming Luxembourg international Kizomba festival.

The limited-edition event organised by Kizomba Luxembourg (KZL) will feature more than 60 dancers and DJ's putting together “breath-taking” performances full of energy for the audience. However, it is not just a one-sided event, both amateurs and expert dancers are invited to this 7th edition of the festival. Tickets will provide access to three parties, two days of social interactions, and more than 20 hours of workshops.
