ArcelorMittal: 20 years on, Lakshmi Mittal stands by his decision

On 31 July, ArcelorMittal will celebrate its 20th anniversary. In a speech delivered at the Steel Success Strategies global conference, Lakshmi Mittal defended the outcome of the merger between Arcelor and Mittal Steel. Twenty years on from a deal that had caused serious concern in Luxembourg, the CEO believes that the industrial gamble has paid off. This conviction is rooted in a longer history.
