Rui Pinto holds a degree in Business Engineering from HEC Liège. He began his career in 2004 at PwC Luxembourg as an auditor, before joining Swiss Life Global Solutions, where he rose through the ranks to become Head of Finance. In 2018, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of iptiQ Life SA, and later joined Lombard (now part of Utmost Group) as Chief Financial Officer, a position he held until 2025.

With over 20 years of experience in the financial sector — including 10 years serving on executive committees of life insurance companies in Luxembourg — Rui is a firm advocate of the finance function’s central role in driving strategic decision-making and monitoring corporate performance.

Diplômé d’HEC Liège en ingénierie commerciale, Rui Pinto a débuté sa carrière en 2004 chez PwC Luxembourg en tant qu’auditeur avant de rejoindre Swiss Life Global Solutions, où il a gravi les échelons jusqu’au poste de Head of Finance. En 2018, il a pris la direction financière d’iptiQ Life SA, puis a rejoint Lombard (devenu Utmost Group) comme Chief Financial Officer, fonction qu’il a occupée jusqu’en 2025.
Fort de plus de 20 ans d’expérience dans le secteur financier, dont 10 ans au sein de comités exécutifs dans des compagnies d’assurance vie au Luxembourg, Rui oriente ses actions autour du rôle fondamental du département financier dans la prise de décisions stratégiques et le suivi des performances de la société.
