Alain Bastin is one of the founders of BIL Manage Invest. He has over 30 years of experience in various executive positions in the Banking and Fund industry with a specific focus on risk management and audit. He joined BIL Group in 2001 as Head of Market & Operational Risk Management until 2013. Before, he has been heading the Risk Management and Audit Department of ING from 1993 to 2001. In 2026, he oversaw the integration of BIL Manage Invest into Waystone and has since then been Deputy Head of Luxembourg at the latter. As a member of the GFI Committee of the CSSF, Alain has also an active role in the regulatory landscape of Luxembourg. Furthermore, he is acting as Board Member of several internal and external alternative structures.
