Michael commenced his professional journey at Accenture in 2002, subsequently advancing to The Boston Consulting Group, where he advised international financial services clients throughout Europe and the US. He later held the positions as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at BHF Kleinwort Benson Group, and subsequently served as COO and Country Manager for BlackRock in Switzerland and Hungary. Since July 2022, Michael has led ING Luxembourg as Chief Executive Officer and Country Manager, overseeing the strategic transformation towards wholesale and private banking. He puts a strong emphasis on client focus and leverages ING’s sector expertise and global network to position Luxembourg as a central European servicing hub for the funds industry.He is committed to building strong relationships with Private Banking clients, offering personalized strategies to meet long-term investment and wealth management objectives.

Additionally, he also sits on the Board of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. He holds a PhD in International Business and an MBA from the University of St. Gallen, and is recognised for his entrepreneurial approach and his expertise in strategic leadership. Outside of work, Michael pursues running, skiing, and enjoys walking with his Husky.
