Philippe Glaesener is an SVP heading the Space & Defence activities of SES with focus on institutional, governmental and defence actors on a global level outside of the US. 

During his extensive career in the satellite communications industry, he has been serving in a variety of commercial, business development and planning roles, and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of key government initiatives, extensive corporate projects and satcom services. 

Philippe Glaesener’s professional experience is backed by Commercial as well as Electrical Engineering & Information Technology academic backgrounds. Philippe is also the Chairman of the Board of GovSat, a Public-Private joint-venture between the Government of Luxembourg and SES, which is dedicated to addressing the demand resulting from defence and institutional security applications. Philippe Glaesener is a Luxemburgish national.

Philippe Glaesener est SVP et dirige les activités de SES dans le domaine de l'espace et de la défense. Il se concentre sur les acteurs institutionnels, gouvernementaux et de la défense au niveau mondial en dehors des Etats-Unis. 

Au cours de sa longue carrière dans l'industrie des communications par satellite, il a occupé diverses fonctions commerciales, de développement des affaires et de planification, et a joué un rôle déterminant dans le développement et la mise en œuvre d'initiatives gouvernementales clés, de projets d'entreprise de grande envergure et de services de télécommunications par satellite. 

L'expérience professionnelle de Philippe Glaesener s'appuie sur une formation commerciale ainsi que sur une formation universitaire en génie électrique et en technologies de l'information. Philippe est également Président du Conseil d'administration de GovSat, une joint-venture publique-privée entre le gouvernement luxembourgeois et SES, qui vise à répondre à la demande résultant des applications de défense et de sécurité institutionnelle. Philippe Glaesener est de nationalité luxembourgeoise.

Philippe Glaesener ist SVP und leitet die Raumfahrt- und Verteidigungsaktivitäten von SES mit Schwerpunkt auf institutionellen, staatlichen und militärischen Akteuren auf globaler Ebene außerhalb der USA. 

Während seiner langjährigen Karriere in der Satellitenkommunikationsbranche war er in verschiedenen Funktionen in den Bereichen Handel, Geschäftsentwicklung und Planung tätig und war maßgeblich an der Entwicklung und Umsetzung von wichtigen Regierungsinitiativen, umfangreichen Unternehmensprojekten und Satellitenkommunikationsdiensten beteiligt. 

Philippe Glaeseners Berufserfahrung wird durch seine akademische Ausbildung in den Bereichen Handel, Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnologie gestützt. Philippe Glaesener ist außerdem Vorstandsvorsitzender von GovSat, einem öffentlich-privaten Joint-Venture zwischen der luxemburgischen Regierung und SES, das sich der Deckung des Bedarfs im Bereich Verteidigung und institutionelle Sicherheit widmet. Philippe Glaesener ist luxemburgischer Staatsbürger.
