Like a lot of people Joel and his family arrived in Luxembourg “just for a few years” but he remained here, 13 years later. He has led a fascinating life, living and working in the USA, India and now Luxembourg.

Joel was involved in building Vodafone’s global procurement centre of excellence in Luxembourg. Responsible for overseeing the procurement of its global customer operations activity, his team supported the contracting and commercial models that supported an organisation with over 85,000 call center employees. Having overseen a large amount of Vodafone’s indirect spending for 10 years, he stepped away from the corporate world to build a procurement advisory start up which now operates across the UK, Europe and a number of countries in Africa. The advisory company "The Knowledge Group" helps buyers get better outcomes from their external spending. The company is working with a wide range of public and private organisations.
