Jean-Pierre Schmit is an ICT entrepreneur from Luxembourg.
He holds a Computer Science engineering degree form the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and an MBA from HEC Lausanne.
After having worked in the IT banking sector in Switzerland, he returned in 2009 to Luxembourg to found jemmic, a software and services company focusing on secure and convenient digital channels between the client and the bank - this for 80 banks with 1 million users. In 2016, he acquired MaPS SA, a software company enabling data governance with PIM, MDM and DAM solutions. Both are scale-ups, occupying in total nearly 100 persons.
He was the president of the Fédération des Jeunes Dirigeants 2019-2020.
As Bahá’í, he beliefs that the well-being of mankind, its peace and security, are unattainable unless and until its unity is firmly established, and dedicates a large part of his time to service to society.
