Luxembourg artist Tina Gillen presents a new exhibition, designed for the space of the Konschthal in Esch, reflecting on 20 years of her career and placing older works in dialogue with new creations.

Gillen’s "Faraway So Close" project represented Luxembourg at the 59th Venice Biennale in 2022.

The artist is now showing a new exhibition at the Konschthal. Her work has focused on the major themes of landscapes and dwellings to develop a visual language that examines the relationship between the individual and the world around them.

Her compositions navigate between abstraction and figuration, between the constructed world and the natural environment, between interior and exterior, between the pictorial act and the rigour of the stroke, between the treatment of the canvas and crafting the volume of the subject.
