Oldtimers exhibition

The Fond-de-Gras site will welcome an outstanding collection of vintage cars from before 1975, pampered by collectors from all over the Greater Region, says the Minett Park.

Last year’s “Vintage Car Day” attracted a large crowd of enthusiasts who were able to admire fascinating cars in a special historic and natural setting, says a press release from the Minett Park. “This summer, this unique marriage between steam locomotives and vintage cars could only be repeated. The Fond-de-Gras site will welcome an outstanding collection of vintage cars from before 1975, pampered by collectors from all over the Greater Region.”

There will also be swing dancing, waltz and tango, grilled meats, fries, homemade cakes and refreshments available.

To access the Fond-de-Gras, take the Train 1900 from its departure platform in Pétange (Rue de Niederkorn). Scheduled departures (Pétange to Fond-de-Gras) are at: 10:30, 11:50, 13:15, 14:15, 15:15, 16:15 and 17:15. Return trips (Fond-de-Gras to Pétange) are at: 9:51, 11:15, 12:40, 13:20, 14:20, 15:20, 16:20, 17:20, 18:20.

The “Minièresbunn” mining train, which takes passengers on a journey into the heart of the mine, will have four departures: at 11:05, 15:00, 16:00 and 17:00.
