The recent short films that will be screened during the event on 19 October include: As It was (2023), It’s a Date (2023), It is quiet here (2022), Are you ok? (2023), Mariupol. A Hundred Nights (2023), One Aloe, One Ficus, One Avocado and Six Dracaenas (2023) and Say Daddy (2023).
The films aim to show the reality in Ukraine, which has undergone more than a year and a half of Russia’s full-scale invasion, and how Ukrainians have adapted to the war. The screenings will be followed by a ciné-debate with Ukrainian film director Iryna Tsylik and the Polish film director Elwira Niewiera.
