Head to Franz Ferdinand

Franz Ferdinand Donald Milne
The Scottish indie rock band come to the grand duchy for the fourth time for a gig at the Rockhal courtesy of den Atelier.
It is now over 20 years since Scottish indie rock band Franz Ferdinand formed and 18 years since Take Me Out stormed the singles charts around the world. That song set the template for the Franz Ferdinand sound--danceable, guitar-driven indie anthems.
Following the departure of drummer Paul Thompson last year, only frontman Alex Kapronos and bassist Bob Hardy remain of the original quartet.
The band has played in Luxembourg before – at the very first Rock-a-Field festival in 2006 and again in 2009 and also at den Atelier in 2017. Returning to the grand duchy on the back of greatest hits compilation Hits To The Head, the band is now a sextet with new drummer Audrey Tait in board. They play the Rockhal at a show promoted by den Atelier.
