Marc Thein has handed over the reins at the helm of Socom: the technical engineering company has announced the appointment of Yann Moutrier as managing director and chairman of the management committee.

"For some years now, the Socom group has been banking on youth by placing several promising young talents at the head of its companies. The latest news of this kind concerns Socom, a major player with more than 750 employees working in the fields of industry, infrastructure, the service sector, renewable energy and maintenance", commented .

After 10 years as head of the management board, he has stepped down from this position, but remains available to the Group and other companies both in terms of marketing and public relations and as chairman of the boards of satellite companies.

A graduate in Business and Project Management from the University of Strasbourg's Faculty of Economics and Management, as well as holding a master's degree in International Business and Real Estate Studies from Cass Business School in London, Yann Moutrier represents the new generation within the Socom Group, says the press release.

With Socom since 2018, Moutrier's career with the group began in administrative and financial services. In 2020, he was appointed director of Nic Olinger, a company mainly active in metal constructions.

"The diversification strategy developed in 2019 means that we now have the foundations required to confirm our market position and to further develop our strategic, organisational and human approach within the company in the years ahead," commented the new manager.
