Thierry Collin, who has been a senior technical engineering project manager at CFL Immo since late 2024, was promoted to team manager of the Technical Management team on 1 April 2026.

Thierry Collin, who graduated as an industrial engineer from the Haute École Robert Schuman in Arlon in 1998, began his career at the engineering consultancy BCT in Bastogne, working as a project engineer for two years. He then joined the engineering consultancy Betic in 2002 as a project engineer. He quickly developed his skills across the full range of technical engineering disciplines (energy optimisation, HVAC and plumbing, electrical systems, sprinkler systems, kitchens, etc.).

During his time at Betic, he worked on a wide variety of building types for both private and public clients (schools, residential properties, administrative and industrial buildings, shopping centres, car parks, Belval station, etc.). In 2009, he was promoted to team manager, then, in 2011, to partner-team manager, and in this role he managed teams of between 5 and 20 staff, including the design team based at the Wiltz offices.

Keen to draw on his experience to work effectively with his team, his role as team manager enables him to engage in productive discussions about building design, making the process run more smoothly within his team. One of his key responsibilities is to equip future buildings with smart building technology in order to automate maintenance operations and optimise their operation according to their usage.

Existing buildings will also be fitted with a ‘light’ version of the Smart Building system to facilitate their maintenance and operation through an automated ticketing system. The involvement of technical property managers will enable direct discussion of the technical solutions required for the maintenance of existing buildings and the future operation of new buildings.
