1. Mudam Party
To mark its 20th anniversary, Mudam is turning the whole day into one long celebration, with the galleries open until 10 p.m. The programme kicks off in the afternoon with artist talks and a participatory performance by Marco Godinho, followed, from 5:30 p.m., by a series of DJ sets (Black Thunder, Katy De Jesus, Courtesy), a concert by Maeve Moayedi and an audiovisual performance by Alva Noto (Carsten Nicolai), the evening’s headline act. The event will run until 1 a.m.

2. End-of-Season Party
The Philharmonie is bringing its season to a close by transforming its foyer into a 2,500m² dance floor, in a co-production with Ultraschall. The evening’s line-up: drinks from 6 p.m., followed by Fonclair (a Luxembourgish electronic artist) at 10 p.m., Alicia Hahn (a rising star of melodic house and techno) at 11:30 p.m., Kölsch (a regular at Berghain and Tomorrowland) at 1 a.m., and charli/e, a Berlin-based DJ, to round off the night until 4:30 a.m.

3. Boucan Monstre
Mikrokosmos, De Gudde Wëllen’s summer micro-universe, set in the heart of Édouard André Municipal Park, just behind the Villa Vauban, has reopened for the season. Spacious, lush and designed as a garden where open-air concerts and lounge sessions blend with great food, it is one of the city’s most popular summer destinations. Tonight, the spotlight is on the duo Boucan Monstre, performing a mix of post-punk hits and lesser-known indie gems.

4. Mesa Verde x Warehouse Recordz
Warehouse Recordz is taking over one of the capital’s most iconic venues for a night curated by Jonathan Kaspar (Kompakt label), alongside Ariel, DoubleP, Florian Foxx, Iza and Kian. An intimate setting, with uncompromising sound.

5. Radio Paffental x Vinsmoselle
A new concept for the Radio Paffental collective, which is taking over the Caves du Sud in Remerschen for the first time, nestled between the wine cellars and the vineyards. Nine local artists, including Fonclair, will take turns performing for 14 hours across two stages: one nestled in the cellars, the other outdoors amongst the rows of vines. Also on the programme: wine tastings, a vinyl market, food trucks and Pilates sessions, for a day that celebrates both the region’s wine-growing heritage and Luxembourg’s electronic music scene.

6. Kulturfabrik End-of-Season Party
The Kufa is rounding off its season in its own unique way: a whole day of free activities, including workshops (bike repairs, cyanotype printing, garland-making), a plant swap, a competition for the best sweet tart, and a potluck dinner. The evening then moves on to a concert by Kin’Gongolo Kiniata, a band from Kinshasa who make their own instruments from recycled materials to create a Congolese Afropop-punk sound, followed by a DJ set from Corleone Jr, a specialist in Afro-funk, disco and zouk.

7. Blues Express
This year’s 22nd edition of the country’s biggest blues festival, which every year transforms the heritage sites of Lasauvage and Fond-de-Gras into an open-air stage. On the programme: 41 bands across 12 stages, with headliners including Walter Trout, Bombino, the Climax Blues Band, Me and That Man and D.K Harrell. The Train 1900 runs a shuttle service between the two venues.

8. “Cumbiatopia”
Tucked away in Kirchberg’s Parc Central, just behind La Coque, Kyosk once again becomes a favourite haunt for local regulars every summer: pétanque, DJ sets and long, leisurely drinks under the trees. For this event, El Comandante del Sabor is staging “Cumbiatopia”, described in the venue’s programme as a musical journey through cumbia.

9. Paul Kalkbrenner
The master of German electro is setting up his equipment on the open-air stage at Luxexpo for what remains one of the most eagerly anticipated electro events of the Luxembourg summer.

10. Congés Annulés: Opening Night
The Rotondes Summer Festival kicks off with a month of concerts, DJ sets and extended pre-dinner drinks, running until 20 August. To kick things off on the Parvis: British post-punk duo Gans, praised by Rolling Stone for their unclassifiable sound, followed by Chris Imler, a leading figure on the Berlin indie scene and a drummer who has played with Peaches and Oum Shatt, and then German duo Sheebaba, blending noise, poetry and goth. DJ So Raw will take over to round off the event.
