For his sixth courtesy visit since his accession to the throne, Guillaume travelled to Paris, where he and his wife Stéphanie were welcomed by the Macrons at the Élysée Palace.

Following visits to Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, the Vatican and Spain, the Grand Ducal couple paid a courtesy visit to the French president, Emmanuel Macron, in Paris, accompanied by the marshal of the Court, Sasha BaillieSasha Baillie, and the foreign secretary, Xavier BettelXavier Bettel.

The French ambassador to Luxembourg, Christophe BouchardChristophe Bouchard, was also there.
