Which provider is the fastest and most consistent and where in Luxembourg? Ookla shares its findings. Shutterstock

Tango was Luxembourg’s fastest fixed broadband provider during Q2 2021, while Post was the fastest mobile operator, according to a speed testing firm.

In a report issued on Monday, Ookla said that Tango’s speed reached 125.73, a 4.5% improvement compared to the first quarter of the year.

Post secured a speed score of 102.09 on modern chipsets, Ookla reported.

Consistency

Tango and Eltrona tied for the highest consistency score of all fixed broadband providers, at 86.3%. They were followed by Visual Online (82.9%), Luxembourg Online (78.1%) and Post (77.9%). Post remained the most consistent mobile provider with a consistency score of 96.3% (followed by Tango, 94.8%, and Orange, 84.1%).

Among Luxembourg’s most populous cities, Differdange achieved the fastest median download  and upload speeds over fixed broadband  (131.26 Mbps and 93.32 Mbps, respectively).

Ettelbruck had the fastest median mobile download and upload speeds at 117.76 Mbps and 21.64 Mbps, respectively.
