The address is not exactly new and has already made a name for itself, thanks in particular to the recognised talent of its young chef Ryôdô Kajiwara: the Ryôdô restaurant in Hollerich has quickly established itself as the new Japanese gastronomic restaurant in Luxembourg and in October 2020, just a few months after its opening, won the title of at the Gault&Millau ceremony.
The minimalist decor, which recalls Japanese traditions in resolutely contemporary versions of very good taste, sets the tone from the moment you enter: there are no unnecessary tricks, everything falls into place with mastery. An invitation to gourmet contemplation that is quickly confirmed on the plate...
First of all, the restaurant offers a very tempting for lunch, which is divided into three courses and two "extras" that give an idea of the chef's technical mastery and creativity, thanks to products worked with precision, great Japanese classics and more sophisticated bites...
For the evening (or even lunch if the occasion lends itself to it), and if all the dishes or almost all the dishes are available à la carte, it would be a shame not to be tempted by "tasting" , whether it is the Tasting (98€/140€ with four glasses and tea), which mixes fish and meat; the Syoka (81€/121€), very seafoody, or the Vegetarian (67€/107€).
To accompany all this, we could come up with a lot of names of sharp, exotic and impossible to remember sakes, but do as we do: trust Olivier Chocq, well known in the sector and recently graduated in sake sommellerie.
