41. Marcel Leyers
His long career at Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (Bil) has taken from retail banking to services for companies and entrepreneurs, becoming head of corporate and institutional banking (CIB) in 2011. In 2013, he joined the bank’s executive committee and, in May 2019, was appointed CEO. Under his leadership, Bil has successfully navigated complex times, including the covid-19 pandemic and a major IT transformation. In May 2024, Leyers stepped down from operational management to take on the role of chair of the board of directors, succeeding Jing Li, who became vice-chair.
42. Georges Rassel
studied at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. After obtaining his civil engineering degree in 1988, he joined Paul Wurth as an engineer in the “Bridges and Structural Works--General Contracting” department. In 1995, he moved to the metallurgy department, where he rose through the ranks. In January 2011, Rassel joined the group’s executive committee as chief operating officer, before being appointed CEO in January 2015, a position he held until January 2023. In April 2024, Rassel was appointed chairman of the board of directors of the business federation Fedil, replacing Michèle Detaille. He is also a member of the board of directors of Peintures Robin, ING Luxembourg, Norsk e-Fuel and Paul Wurth.
43. Michèle Eisenhuth
has been a member of the executive committee of the Financial Sector Supervisory Commission (CSSF) for several years. A lawyer by training and an expert in banking and financial law, she plays a strategic role in the supervision and development of the regulatory framework in Luxembourg. Eisenhuth is a partner in the investment management practice and co-chair of Arendt. With a career spanning more than 20 years in finance, she is helping to strengthen Luxembourg’s reputation as a European financial centre by integrating international compliance standards and promoting regulatory innovation.
44. Jeffrey Dentzer
Jeffrey Dentzer succeeded Marcel Leyers in May 2024 as CEO of Banque internationale de Luxembourg (Bil). In January 2024, he had already been promoted to deputy CEO, working closely with Leyers to oversee the ongoing transformations and define the five-year strategic plan. Since January 2020, Dentzer has been chief of Luxembourg market & corporate and institutional banking (CIB) and a member of the executive committee, leading the bank’s main activities in the domestic market. He holds a degree in economics and business management from the Université Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg, and a postgraduate diploma in management from the Surrey European Management School in England.
45. Yves Stein
After starting his career at Banque Générale du Luxembourg, the new ABBL chairman held the positions of group CEO private banking at Fortis and then CEO Wealth Management at BNP Paribas (Switzerland). Between 2018 and 2022, was an independent consultant on strategy and transformation for financial institutions, before joining Edmond de Rothschild (Europe) as a member of the supervisory board and being appointed CEO in 2019.
46. Roland Kuhn
has been managing director of Kuhn Construction since 1975. This is Luxembourg’s oldest construction company, founded in 1897. President of the Chambre des Métiers du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg from 2007 to 2017, Kuhn has also chaired the Fédération des entreprises luxembourgeoises de construction et de génie civil since 1997. In 2020, he was appointed chairman of the Conseil pour le développement économique de la construction (CDEC). Kuhn also sits on the boards of Luxexpo The Box, the Red Cross and CapitalatWork.
47. Stéphanie Damgé
Formerly of KPMG, is now director of the Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg (JEL) association, an organisation dedicated to promoting entrepreneurial education among young people. Under her leadership since 2012, the JEL has broadened its impact by introducing innovative programmes aimed at developing students’ entrepreneurial skills, from primary school to university. A board member of the Fonds National de la Recherche (FNR) and the Idea Foundation, Damgé also heads the House of Entrepreneurship.
48. Guy Hoffmann
has been chairman of the board of directors of Banque Raiffeisen since 2016, after serving as the bank’s CEO from 2007 to 2016. He also chaired the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association (ABBL) from 2018 to 2021, where he defended the interests of the banking sector while promoting financial sustainability and innovation. With more than 30 years of experience, Hoffmann contributed to the modernisation of Raiffeisen and the adaptation of the Luxembourg banking industry to digital challenges.
49. Cliff Konsbruck
A graduate of RWTH Aachen, began his career as an engineer with Goodyear. He joined P&T Luxembourg (which became Post Luxembourg in 2013) in 1999, where he held the positions of head of internet services, head of IP applications and, since September 2013, head of customer services. In 2016, Konsbruck joined the executive committee of Post Luxembourg as director of Post Telecom and in March 2022 was appointed deputy managing director.
50. Katia Panichi (tied)
has been a partner and member of the management committee of the Luxembourg law firm Elvinger Hoss Prussen since 2006. Her areas of expertise include corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, structured finance and securitisation. From 2012 to 2015, Panichi led the firm’s Asian operations from the Hong Kong office. In September 2022, she was appointed to the management committee, alongside Sophie Laguesse and reporting to Manou Hoss. Panichi, who is also a member of the Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association’s executive committee, holds an LLM in international business law from King’s College London and a master’s degree in international business law from Université Paris-1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
50. Sophie Laguesse (tied)
is a partner and member of the management board of Elvinger Hoss Prussen, a law firm in Luxembourg. An expert in corporate law and international taxation, she assists institutional clients with the structuring of complex transactions and regulatory compliance. With a career dedicated to legal excellence, Laguesse plays a key role in the firm’s strategic development and the strengthening of its international reputation.
