Nexus Luxembourg has entered the final sprint of its second edition, dedicated to artificial intelligence and tech for a better future. 6,500 people are expected to attend the tech confab taking place on 17 and 18 June at Luxexpo The Box. The names of the first speakers have been revealed.

The kettle is already boiling. Four months ahead of the second edition of Nexus Luxembourg, which will showcase Luxembourg’s dynamic innovation and technology ecosystem, highlighting a unique mix of public and private initiatives in a friendly and intimate atmosphere, fostering valuable interactions with key players in tech, finance and politics, an army of discreet cooks are working to bring together the right ingredients and recipes, to make this technology fair a “table de référence” in the Greater Region.

“The AI revolution is now a reality and will profoundly transform the lives of citizens, employees and entrepreneurs, far beyond what many imagine today. At Nexus, generative AI will be at the heart of the discussions--on 17 stages and amongst the 6,500 expected participants,” says Nexus Luxembourg co-founder and Maison Moderne CEO .

“With only four months left, we’ve been focusing on reinventing Nexus--its production and partnerships--since last summer. Now we're shifting into high gear on the programming front, with lots of exciting announcements to come,” says Nexus Luxembourg co-founder and CEO of The Dots, .

The menu promises:

—Healthtech revolution: the future of medicine and innovation

—Manufacturing 4.0: automation, AI and the future of production

—Space Age 2.0: innovation, exploration and business

—Perspectives in cybersecurity: strategies for a safer digital world

—The future of work: navigating AI and future generations

—Smart cities, more effective governance: the future of public affairs

—Sovereign AI: building digital independence from algorithms

—Energy and sustainability: ecological transition and technological innovations.

In addition, a programme entirely dedicated to the financial sector is being developed in collaboration with Luxembourg’s leading financial institutions, in order to meet the expectations of national and international audiences.

As for the good ‘ingredients,’ we should note the first announced appearances of the chairman and COO of Wix, Nir Zohar, the chief data and AI officer of the United Nations, Lambert Hogenhout, the co-founder and CEO of Pony.ai, James Peng, the co-founder of the Hub Institute Paris, , the CEO of Luxair, , who will be talking about the digitalisation of the airline industry, and the director of the Luxembourg Inland Revenue (Administration des contributions directes), , who will be addressing the subject of tax services.

This week, the two co-founders of Nexus Luxembourg announced that they had entrusted ‘the kitchens’ to Saranya Valsarajan, whose duties as general coordinator of the event will begin on 3 March. Valsarajan took part in the first edition last year on behalf of the economic interest group MyConnectivity.

Following the success of the inaugural event, which attracted participants from 62 countries, and with the continued high-level support of the Luxembourg government, the City of Luxembourg, the Chamber of Commerce and Luxinnovation, Nexus Luxembourg will feature 17 stages, including four main ones: ‘Knowledge,’ for training and demonstrations; the ‘Arena,’ with demos by Luxinnovation startups (near the main hall); the ‘Dinner Hall’ stage; and ‘Sygama,’ for parallel events. In addition to the 60 conferences and ‘fireside chats,’ 18 roundtables and 190 45-minute training sessions will be spread across the ten stages. Three hundred startups are expected to pitch their projects to  as winner of the startup pitches.

The Go International Business Meetings organised by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce will offer supervised business meetings. Participants will be able to schedule their meetings via the official event app and take advantage of unique networking opportunities.
