The year 2025 brings with it a number of changes in social parameters. From 1 January 2025, the minimum wage has been revalued at €2,637.79 gross per month for an unskilled worker and €3,165.35 for a skilled worker, making it the highest minimum wage in Europe. The minimum pension is €2,293.55 gross per month.
The cost-of-living allowance, which has been increased, is now set at €1,817 for a single person and varies according to the size of the household. For a couple, it rises to €2,272 and for a family of three to €2,727. It rises to €3,182 for a family of four and €3,637 for a family of five or more.
Energy allowances have also been increased: households will receive €600 for a single person, and up to double that amount for a household of five or more people.
At the same time, the government points out that family allowances amount to €299.86 per month per child, with an extra €22.67 for children aged 6 to 11 and €56.57 for those aged 12 and over.
