The management team at architecture + aménagement is expanding: Michael Gissler has become a partner. Having worked as a joiner previously--he was born in 1970--Gissler turned to architecture in 2002 after graduating from the Fachhochschule in Trier. He first practised in Cologne, before moving to Luxembourg in 2003 to work with architecture + aménagement. In 2008, he spent two years freelancing in Hamburg, but continued to work for a+a during this period. Returning to Luxembourg in 2010, he rejoined the a+a team and has been there ever since.
Over the past 20 years, Gissler has developed his experience on a wide range of projects, from interior design and single-family homes, to administrative buildings, residential developments for local developers and even prisons. Throughout this period, he has also been committed to the smooth running of the office and has played an active part in the agency’s international development, working on major projects in Switzerland, Germany and, more recently, France. According to Hermann Esslinger, Gissler “has been able to build long-lasting and solid relationships with our clients, which has greatly contributed to the reputation and loyalty of our agency.”
It was therefore a natural step for the existing partners to ask him to join the management team. “We are delighted to welcome such a dedicated and experienced associate to the partnership. His expertise and continued commitment will be vital to our future,” says Nadine Gutenstein.
“His promotion testifies to his significant contribution to our agency and to our confidence in his ability to guide our company towards a prosperous future,” added Bertrand Schmit.
