Marie-Hélène Massard, currently the managing director of Axa Banque in France, has been appointed deputy CEO of the Foyer Group.

Starting in May 2024, Foyer CEO will have a new right-hand woman: Marie-Hélène Massard has been appointed deputy CEO of the Foyer Group and will join its executive committee as well. Massard has been described as a strategic appointment for the group, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2022, and as “part of Marc Lauer’s succession plan.”

“I will be keen to use my skills and experience to help the Foyer Group grow in the Luxembourg market and internationally. I am delighted to be returning to Luxembourg, which already represents an important page in my professional and family life,” said the future deputy CEO.

Before moving to Paris in 2020 to head Axa Banque (the position she currently holds), Massard worked for the Association des compagnies d’assurances et de réassurances (Aca) for nearly eight years, as president and vice president. She was also CEO of Axa Luxembourg for eight years.

“Marie-Hélène’s experience of the financial and insurance sector and her knowledge of the grand duchy will strengthen our management team. Together, we will continue to foster the values of entrepreneurship and innovation that are so dear to Foyer,” said Lauer.
