Nora Wagener, laureate of the 2017 Prix Servais, has been selected to undertake a residence at the Literartisches Colloquium in Berlin (LCB). The author was selected amid four candidates, announced Kultur | lx, the Luxembourg arts council.

The initiative was started by the arts council in collaboration with the Lëtzebuerger Bicherfrënn (Luxembourg book friends) and the National Centre for Literature and will allow Wagener to work on her current writing project at the LCB for 8 to 10 weeks.

The LCB, which has existed for more than 50 years, will allow for reflection, experimentation and talent nurturing, says Kultur | lx in its press release. Wagener, who last year published her German novel “Was habe ich verpasst”, was chosen by a jury composed of notable figures of the Luxembourg literature scene. Claude Conter (National library of Luxembourg), Frank Hansen (Lëtzebuerger Bicherfrënn), Ludivine Jehin (Centre national de littérature), Rafael David Kohn (winner of the 2021 edition) et Christiane Krier (Lëtzebuerger Bicherfrënn) suggested Wagener’s work to the LCB.

During her residency, Wagener may explore her work and interact with other artists at the LCB, while also preparing a “Bourglënster Ried” (Bourglinster speech) that will be co-edited and published as a pamphlet by the National Centre for Literature.

Wagener’s work can be explored . Her books are also available at local bookstore
