The Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (LPEA) on 2 July elected five new executive committee members and voted on the positions of secretary, treasurer and vice president.

The LPEA, the Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association, on 2 July 2024 held its board meeting. Five executive committee members were elected as part of the “annual renewal” of the association’s governing body, said a from the LPEA issued on 3 July.

They are: (A&O Shearman), (Deloitte), (Expon Capital), Hind El Gaidi (Intermediate Capital Group) and Claude de Raismes (Wendel Luxembourg). (EY Luxembourg), who is already an executive committee member, was appointed as vice president, while Arbaut was also named secretary and Tabone named treasurer.

The executive committee is composed of 12 members and includes a president, two vice presidents, a secretary, a treasurer, the CEO of the LPEA and other members elected from the board.

Besides the six members named above, the LPEA’s executive committee also includes: president (Swancap Investment Management), vice president Hans-Jürgen Schmitz,  (BC Partners), Gautier Laurent (Cinven), (Arendt & Medernach) and  (LPEA).

The LPEA represents PE and VC professionals in the grand duchy and aims to promote the industry and financial “ecosystem” beyond Luxembourg. It has 554 members as of 1 July 2024.
