Jeanne Tonnar, after having worked as a civil servant at the ministry of tourism, is taking over the presidency of the GIE Luxembourg for Tourism. She succeeds Romain Weber for a three-year mandate.

The economic interest group Luxembourg for Tourism (LFT) has a new president. On 27 April, during its general assembly, it elected Jeanne Tonnar as head of its management board.

Attached to the Directorate General for Tourism (ministry of economy) in charge of the national tourism strategy, leisure and remembrance tourism issues, she takes over the position for three years.

Prior to this, Tonnar gained initial experience at Voyages Emile Weber, then joined the ministry of tourism. As president of LFT, she now wishes to "focus on strengthening collaboration between the players in the sector, whether private or institutional".

Weber, who has been at the head of LFT since 2016, becomes, for his part, honorary president. "Under this banner, I will continue to defend the interests of LFT and those of the tourism sector," Weber said.
