At the initiative of the Luxembourg Golf Federation (FLG), five golf clubs across the country will, for the first time, host the National Golf Days--a weekend of golf discovery, open to all and entirely free of charge. On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May, the public is invited to enjoy free introductory sessions, fun activities and family-friendly entertainment and to discover this accessible, intergenerational sport, great for both physical and mental wellbeing.
Over the course of two days, whether with friends, colleagues or family, beginners, the curious or casual passers-by will be welcomed to the participating clubs to try out this complete sport, which can be enjoyed at any age.
An original experience in five outstanding locations
Five venues will welcome the public during this weekend of golf discovery:
• Golf de Clervaux (Eselborn), an 18-hole course in the Luxembourg Ardennes with excellent training facilities--perfect for discovering golf.
• Golf de Luxembourg (Junglinster), a technical layout in the heart of nature, with a charming clubhouse located in the historic Domaine de Belenhaff. A chance to explore both golf and local heritage.
• Kikuoka Country Club (Canach), a championship-level course with a hotel-spa and top-quality training area--ideal for trying out golf.
• Petite Suisse Country Club (Christnach), a flat, beginner-friendly course featuring the country’s largest driving range, with special activities organised in collaboration with the Mullerthal Nature Park.
• Lux Golf Center (Kockelscheuer), a state-of-the-art training centre just minutes from Luxembourg City--perfect for a first introduction to golf.
Each site will offer three free introductory sessions led by qualified golf professionals (90-minute sessions at 10:30am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm on both days) along with putting contests and various family-friendly animations. Some clubs will also host guided tours, children’s games, golf equipment demonstrations and displays of course maintenance machinery. Clubhouse restaurants will serve special menus and snacks, and visitors will be able to relax on beautiful terraces overlooking the golf courses.
