Opened in 2016 in Montenach, Domaine de la Klauss celebrates ten years of continuous rise and announces its calendar of new features.

Ten years and projects under the stones that inhabit the place. "True to its philosophy of constant investment, Domaine de la Klauss is preparing an ambitious new phase of development," announces the 5-star hotel-spa in a press release marking its tenth anniversary. Plans include the opening of a boutique tea room and patisserie in the coming months. Then next year, the inauguration of the new spa area, Krystal. "An unprecedented complex of over 3,000m², among the largest in Europe", assures La Klauss.

Less expected, an aesthetic clinic service will be offered within the establishment. The project, announced for 2028, is being carried out in partnership with the Moselle-based Asclepios Institute, a specialist in aesthetic medicine and hair transplants. Responsibility for it will be entrusted to Dr Claude Martin, head of Asclepios.

On the hotel side of things, Domaine de la Klauss also plans to welcome 12 new suites ranging in size from 40 to over 100m². The establishment currently has around thirty rooms, including six junior suites and six suites.

"Some people had doubts about this project"

After years of persistence and building work, Domaine de la Klauss came into being in January 2016, the brainchild of its owner and director, Alexandre Keff, who was also an airline pilot with Luxair in his spare time. "Some people had doubts about this ambitious project: a 4-star hotel & spa with character, without an integrated restaurant, located in Montenach in the heart of the Moselle", we recall. But, "ten years later, the Domaine is establishing itself as a benchmark for luxury hotels in Europe, boasting an occupancy rate of over 98% in 2025 and international recognition".

Since its opening, La Klauss has won a host of accolades, including the Michelin star awarded in 2024 to young chef Benoît Potdevin and the restaurant Le K, whose stoves had been in operation for the first time two years earlier. The establishment is also very regularly cited on the international stage, where awards fall at a regular rate, such as recently in Barcelona in the "Most Romantic Hotel in the World" category, no less.

Starting out with just fifteen people when he first opened, Alexandre Keff, who shares this adventure with his wife Mathilde, now employs a team of around one hundred. Ten years on, the "development" objectives are approached "with the same ambition as in 2016: to offer unique, sincere and memorable experiences", promises the house.
