On the 11th of October 2026 from 11 am to 7 pm, the 1535° Creative Day showcases a vibrant creative community, featuring open studios, workshops, talks, immersive installations, live music, a food village and shopping areas.

Very often an idea arises from an action, an intuition or an encounter. It gains momentum as it spreads, is challenged by different perspectives and becomes something to be shared. It is in this spirit that Creative Day 2026 will provide a full day of activities for all ages and interests.

An initiative of the City of Differdange, the 1535° Creative Hub brings together, on a daily basis, a community from the cultural and creative industries, active in fields as varied as design, the visual arts, crafts, music, media, architecture, fashion and new forms of cultural production. At the crossroads of entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity, the Hub provides a setting where ideas can develop, projects can take shape and skills can be shared. Creative Day offers the public the chance to step into the heart of this ecosystem, discover the workspaces of its residents and gain a better understanding of how creative skills are developed, passed on and reinvented.

For this new edition, knowledge transfer takes centre stage. It is not viewed as a mere passing on of knowledge, but as a living process, capable of linking individual practices to collective dynamics. In the workspaces of the residents at the 1535° Creative Hub, visitors will be able to meet the creators right where their projects take shape. The workshops will offer short, accessible sessions to experiment, learn by doing and explore different creative professions for the young and experienced. Meanwhile, the shopping areas will offer the chance to discover and purchase original creations, including objects, textiles, accessories, illustrations and one-off pieces.

The program will also foster dialogue between culture, the creative economy and professional development. Talks will address the new realities of careers in the creative industries, career paths, skills, lifelong learning, collaboration, innovation and the role of networks in the sector’s development. These sessions will provide a platform for practitioners in the field and representatives from the 1535° Creative Hub’s ecosystem, alongside experts and institutional partners, with a view to fostering dialogue and putting ideas into context.

As well as workshops and talks, the Creative Day will take the form of a journey through the facilities of the 1535° Creative Hub, where immersive installations, performances, live music, DJ sets, a food village and activities will invite the public to explore the site in a different way. Designed also as an opportunity for discovery to be shared with the whole family, this tour of the 1535° will allow young and old alike to explore the 16.000m2 of the 1535° Creative Hub, freely, with the chance to take part in a treasure hunt, throughout which they can collect stickers and leave with a surprise at the end.

Visitors will thus be able to move from a workshop to a stage, from a discussion to an installation, from an object to an encounter, exploring the many ways in which creativity is conceived and shared. This movement between spaces, practices and audiences embody the very spirit of this year’s festival: to show how an individual impulse can, through interaction with others, become a collective experience.

More than just an open day, Creative Day is the opportunity for a creative community to come together in a local space and connect to its residents. It highlights the capacity of the cultural and creative industries to generate ideas, skills, experiences, collaborations and entrepreneurial projects. In Differdange, this collective energy finds a tangible home: a former industrial site that has been transformed into a place of creation, innovation, knowledge-sharing and experimentation.
