Florence Diers has been appointed product director at Broadcasting Center Europe, where she will drive the company’s product strategy. Diers has spent her career in tech and banking, holding positions at firms such as Amazon and PagoNxt.

Broadcasting Center Europe (BCE) announced on Wednesday 16 April the appointment of Florence Diers as product director. She will head up the product unit within the technology department, reporting directly to BCE’s chief technology officer, Sylvain Merle.

In her new role, Diers will “oversee the full lifecycle of BCE’s product portfolio--from design to delivery--with a strong emphasis on cloud strategy, agile practices and user-driven innovation,” the group said in a statement. “She will be responsible for aligning the product vision with customer needs and business objectives, driving the roadmap for the evolution of BCE’s media-as-a-service platform and implementing a cloud-oriented technical strategy.”

Diers has worked for leading international groups, including Amazon and AWS in the technology sector, and Netcetera and PagoNxt (a subsidiary of Santander) in the banking industry. Prior to joining BCE, she was senior product manager at Giesecke+Devrient.

“Florence brings with her a unique combination of strategic insight, operational excellence, and deep product expertise,” commented Merle. “We were seeking a leader who could connect the dots between business, technology and user experience--someone who could enhance our product strategy whilst driving meaningful innovation. Florence’s extensive experience in managing complex product environments, her cloud-first mindset, and her collaborative approach position her as the ideal person to elevate our product organisation.”

A subsidiary of the RTL Group, BCE supports more than 400 companies worldwide--in media, sport, fashion or business--with a wide range of services, including audiovisual production, event coverage, graphics, telecoms, IT, streaming, broadcasting, audiovisual installations or archiving.
