At the beginning of June, Luxith G.I.E. launched a call for tenders for outsourcing recruitment in order to select a firm capable of assisting them in the recruitment of IT profiles. Fidès Executive Partner, with its extensive experience in outsourcing IT recruitment, responded and won the tender.

LUXembourg IT for Health (Luxith) is an economic interest group created in December 2012 by the hospitals of the Fédération des Hôpitaux Luxembourgeois (FHL). Their mission is to implement and operate shared IT services, software and infrastructure for its members.

What role does Luxith play in the development of IT services within hospitals?

In addition, Luxith manages secure infrastructures in Tier IV class data centres and facilitates the sharing of medical imaging through the National Medical Imaging Archive.”

What are the challenges in terms of IT recruitment in the healthcare sector in Luxembourg?

Chaffa Zaroui (Fidès Executive Partner): “The challenges of recruiting IT profiles in the healthcare sector differ very little from other sectors of activity in Luxembourg. We can, however, stress that the security aspect is more important in this sector.”

“First of all, as in other countries, there is a shortage of talent. For a number of years now, we have been seeing an acceleration in the digitalisation of companies, and the health crisis of 2020 has only amplified this observation. But skills in the IT sector are becoming increasingly scarce.”

“In all business sectors, the shortage of tech talent is a growing concern for companies and establishments of all sizes. The need for technical skills is increasing very rapidly, while competition to attract and retain the best talent is fiercer than ever.”

“In Luxembourg, the talent shortage is exacerbated by a number of factors, including the cost of housing, the difficulty of transport for cross-border workers, language complexity and the tax limitations associated with teleworking.”
