Created in 1986, the programme now rewards entrepreneurs in 60 countries and 145 cities around the world. In Luxembourg, the most recent winner was , the head of Batiself, Batipro, Intersport, Citabel, S-Cape and Freelander’s. He won the prize in 2016, twelve years after his first participation. At the time, the jury selected , then head of Victor Buck Services. Organised every four years, the last edition of the competition did not take place because of covid.
This year, candidates have until 31 May . Interviews will be conducted until the end of July with EY experts to prepare an analysis file submitted to the jury, which will choose six finalists, to be announced in October. The winner will be announced in November at a gala evening, then have the opportunity to attend the World Entrepreneurs of the Yearevent in Monaco in June 2024 and join a national and international community.
This year’s jury is headed by the president of Fedil, Luxembourg’s business federation, and includes the last winner, the economy minister’s head of cabinet Tom Theves, the president of the Luxembourg Confederation of Commerce , the president of the Federation of Young Business Leaders and the president of the ICT Luxembourg alliance .
