“We are excited to announce the opening of our Librairie Ernster in the heart of Dudelange!” CFO Paul Ernster wrote on Linkedin on 28 March. Already present with 10 stores in Bertrange, Bascharage, Ettelbruck, Luxembourg City and Mersch, Ernster will soon be setting up in Dudelange. Its 11th shop is due to open at 48-52 Avenue G.-D. Charlotte in July 2025, where the Formula Sports store was formerly located.

“Welcoming this bookstore, with its history, enthusiasm and family culture, represents a real turning point for the city of Dudelange, both for the vibrancy of its local businesses and for the cultural life of its city,” mayor (LSAP) and the college of aldermen said in a press release. “The presence of such a bookstore in Dudelange further anchors the importance it has always attached to culture and its diversity.”

According to the Luxembourg business register, Ernster employed 99 people at the end of 2023.
