Workl unveiled its “World’s Happiest Workplaces 2025” on Tuesday 14 January, a ranking of the companies where employees are the most fulfilled around the world. Delhaize is the leading Luxembourg company in the ranking, followed by BNY and E.Leclerc.

On Tuesday 14 January, Workl revealed its “World’s Happiest Workplaces 2025.” The result of an in-depth analysis of more than 100,000 candidate organisations and feedback from a million employees, this annual study ranks the workplaces where employees are the most fulfilled around the world. Employees were asked to rate their working environment on six main criteria: well-being, job satisfaction, reward and recognition, information sharing, empowerment and pride.

Twelve companies stood out from the rest, achieving a perfect score of 100%:

1. White Snow Central Air Conditioning (India);

2. Public Health Institute of South Africa (South Africa);

3. Adidas Malaysia (Malaysia);

4. A&S Construction and Management (United States);

5. Esco Philippines (Philippines);

6 Kenversity Sacco Society (Kenya);

7. LTIMindtree South Korea (South Korea);

8. Modus Projects (Australia);

9. Siemens Thailand (Thailand);

10. St Jude's Health Care (Australia);

11. Varun Beverages Nepal (Nepal);

12. Varun Beverages Sri Lanka (Sri Lanka).

Delhaize Luxembourg is the first Luxembourg company in the ranking and comes 62nd in the world with a happiness score of 96%. The company is well ahead of some of its local competitors, such as Auchan and Cactus, whose scores do not exceed 60%. The podium is completed by the bank BNY Luxembourg, which has the same score as Delhaize, and another retail player, E.Leclerc, with 93% of satisfied employees.

Despite these good individual performances, Luxembourg has an average job satisfaction score of 67%, below the global average of 73%.
